A large public marina facility managed by Georgetown County. The site is at the mouth of where the Sampit River flows into Winyah Bay, a brackish water environment. The facility has observation decks, several fishing pier dock systems, six paved boat ramps with adjacent floating docks. Picnic areas, green space, and public restrooms are available at this facility located right on the outskirts of Georgetown's historical downtown district. Not a particularly scenic spot, as a large paper mill is directly across the river, but it is a large and modern facility to access the Sampit and Greater Winyah Bay region.
