250 meters of Point England's Beach's sand was replenished and an artificial reef was created to help the beach retain its sand in 2012. Facilities now include picnic tables, bbq's, extra seating and timber boardwalk. The Point to Point Walkway passes throughout the Point England Reserve, connecting visitors to Apirana Reserve, Taniwha Reserve, Ruapotaka Reserve, Maybury Reserve, Tamaki Estuary, Wai-o-taiki Bay, Tahuna Torea Reserve, Roberta Reserve, Gledowie Reserve and ends at Waitara Avenue with a spectacular view of Waitamata Harbour.
