Pigeon Lake Provincial Park Beach
Wetaskiwin County, Alberta, Canada
Pigeon Lake Provincial Park is one of the the most popular spots around central Alberta for day use and camping. Pigeon Lake used to be called Woodpecker Lake until Passenger Pigeons became popular in the area. The beach at the provincial park is wide, sandy and gently sloped with a swimming area that deepens faster than Ma-Me-O Beach. There is a marked swimming area, playground, concession, picnic area, shady areas, and washrooms located nearby. The close parking lot provides easy access to the beach and amenities.
