The Bonnechere Provincial Park is located on Round Lake in the Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township of Renfrew County. The meandering Bonnechere River once carried furs and pine logs out of this Ottawa Valley region. Now canoes move along its leisurely, ever-changing path to Round Lake, where there is a small sandy beach with a buoyed area ideal for family swimming. The beach has shallow gradual drop-offs. If you wish to stay overnight, electric campsites are available. Flush Toilets, Showers, a Visitor Centre, laundry room, boat launch, playground, a park store are all facilities/services offered by the campground. You can also hike, fish and paddle in the area. Keep your eyes open for the painted turtle.
