Main Beach
East Hampton, New York, United States
Easily the most popular beach in East Hampton Village, Main Beach has the largest parking lot of the 5 village beaches. It offers a full pavilion with food and drinks, lockers, restrooms, and showers. Enjoy the piping plover nests during early summer and grassy dunes to watch the annual Labor Day fireworks. It can get very crowded though, so September is the best time to visit, when it’s less crowded but still warm. You can pay per day to park, Monday through Friday, $20 a day. A village beach permit is required from May 15 to September 30 and parking stickers are limited. No alcohol allowed. Dogs and driving on the beach are not permitted from 9am to 6pm during summer months, and a Town of East Hampton permit is required to drive on the beach. This is a Tier III beach.
