In 2008, the County of Santa Rosa Island accepted the State’s release of parklands and assumed operation and maintenance responsibilities. The park consists of 116 acres along the Santa Rosa Sound and Gulf of Mexico. Covered pavilions with grills, picnic areas and multiply restroom facilities invite guests to enjoy activities on both sides of the barrier island. This area is a public boat launch facility available next to the privately owned Juana’s Beach Bar and Grill. Access is to the soundside of the island. Preparation and tie-down lanes are available, as well as a paved area for trailer parking. Restrooms are handicap accessible. Fishing regulations/licenses may apply.
