SITE INFORMATION
Grevillea Beach, East Basin on the northern shore of Lake Burley Griffin, is a long open beach popular with water craft recreation activities. There is a dragonboat course and this is the location of the Capital Lakes Rowing Club.
Grevillea Beach offers a boat ramp and ample parking and is close to the Jerrabomberra Wetlands and the Molonglo River. Exposed to strong winds, East Basin is popular with windsurfing.
Grevillea Beach is 15 minutes from the city centre of Canberra.

Swimming should be avoided for several days after heavy rainfall as bacterial levels are strongly affected by such events.
