Goat Island is a great spot to head for a few hours or the day.

Go out snorkelling or diving in Goat Island Marine Reserve or book a trip on the glass bottom boat.

Be aware, there may be strong currents, so stay within your limits and always go with a friend; it's more fun, and you can keep an eye out for each other.

Long-term monitoring by Auckland Council at Goat Island has consistently identified good water quality. However, please exercise caution following heavy rain in this area.
