Fourchon Beach
Golden Meadow, Louisiana, United States

Fourchon Beach and Port Fourchon are Louisiana's only surfing spot. Beautiful white sand beaches are also the unexpected signature of Louisiana's Gulf of Mexico Coast. Fourchon has been through the ringer, following Hurricane Katrina 2005 and the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in 2010. After many years of closure, the beach is again open for swimming, surfing, and fishing.
