Flying Point Beach is a Southampton Town public beach at the south end of Flying Point Road in Water Mill. It is incredibly scenic, with the Channel Pond right behind the beach and the Water Mill Beach Club not far away. If you aren’t local, be sure to make arrangements to get to this Water Mill Beach since no daily passes are available. Senior citizen and non-resident seasonal permits are accepted. Lifeguards are usually on duty from 10am to 5pm during summer months. Pets are prohibited between April 1 and October 1, but are allowed at all other times. Camping, alcohol, bonfires, glass containers, unsupervised children, loud music, graffiti, and littering are prohibited. Residents can obtain a beach barbecue permit for after 6pm from the Parks & Recreation Office. Parking permits are required between May 15 and June 25 from 9am-6pm and at all times between July 1 and Labor Day. The beach closes at 9pm. There is drive-on access but only with a Southampton Town Trustees 4x4 beach driving permit. This is a Tier III beach.
