Emma Lake Recreation Site is a Saskatchewan Provincial Park, and it is popular for recreational use. There is a $5 fee to enter the park. Murray Point Campground Beach is small but enjoyable. The sand is golden and is mixed with small pebbles and rocks. Access to the beach is through the Murray Point Campground. Parking is available in the campground, however beach access is limited to foot traffic. It’s about a 5 minute walk on a trail through the forest to reach the beach from the campground.

The lake bottom is a little rockier than the beach, and the water is very clear. It is shallow throughout most of the designated swimming area which is marked by buoys. All swimming is unsupervised. No pets or ATVs are allowed in the beach area. There are a few benches and picnic tables for beach-goers to use. Because of the nearby forest, bird songs are commonly heard from the beach. There is a small grassy park beside the beach.

The beach is backed by a dense forest, which gives it a lot of privacy. The shoreline across from the beach is residentially developed but forested areas are also visible. There is a playground on the beach, and several more throughout the park. No outhouses are available on the beach, however there is access to these services in the campground. There is a public boat launch a short drive from the beach.
