Army Bay is a great spot for a wide range of activities. If you go out for a swim, make sure you stay within your limits, and keep young children within arm's reach. Steer clear of the boat ramp, and any vessels or craft in the water. Also, as Army Bay is near the Whangaparaoa Military Training area, make sure you check the information signage adjacent to the boat ramp and ensure you steer clear of any identified areas.
