Data on this website is currently collected from the following data sources and providers.
- Water Quality - Water quality information, including biological (e. coli and enterococcus levels), chemical (alkalinity, pH, conductivity, chlorine, hardness, dissolved oxygen) and physical (water temperature, clarity, depth), are provided by Swim Drink Fish and the many organizations they work with, Surfrider Foundation Blue Water Task Force, City of Toronto (Beach Water Quality), City of Hamilton (Beach Water Quality), New York State Department of Health (Beach Water Quality), Grand River Conservation Authority, Huron Perth Public Health, Niagara Region, California Open Data Portal, Mississippi DEQ, and a growing number of many more.
- Water Conditions - Wave height, period and direction model data and forecasts available for some beaches are provided by Windfinder.
- Swimmers & Community Scientists - Water temperatures, conditions, activities and photos are shared by website users who post information, upload files and connect their smart watches, smart buoys and other devices to our Community Scientist Data Collection Services.
- Weather Data - Current weather conditions are provided by Weather API.
